The activities of the women's re-employment support program, Re.step Program (Woman Job con+), were featured in the October 28, 2025 edition of Yomiuri Shimbun's Future Creation 2050, along with comments from Ms. Nagai, CEO of New Space Intelligence, Inc. (NSI).
Future Creation 2050 is a year-long project by the Yomiuri Shimbun that examines and explores the future of the Kyushu, Yamaguchi, and Okinawa regions. In Part 3, Section 2, "Overcoming Challenges," of this project focused on the Re.step Program under the title "Unearthing Latent Talent," highlighting an initiative in Yamaguchi Prefecture to expand opportunities for women to work while balancing family and childcare. Commissioned by Yamaguchi Prefecture and operated by the NPO Atto, the Re.step Program, supports women who have taken career breaks due to childcare or other life events in re-entering the workforce at their own pace. The program includes the Woman Job con+ event, a matching platform connecting companies with "mom talent." It has gained attention in recent years for its potential to uncover "latent talent"—individuals eager to work but hesitant to take the first step—helping to address labor shortages.
At NSI, excellent personnel met through these activities have actually joined the team and are making significant contributions. Representing the graduates of the Re.step Program, Ms. Taguchi (an NSI employee) offered words of encouragement to participants at the Woman Job con+ event two years ago, and this year, Ms. Miuchi followed in her footsteps at the same event held on October 22.
NSI believes that creating an environment where individuals can continue to take on new challenges while balancing family and childcare, contributes to the company's growth, especially in an era of increasingly diverse career paths. We will continue to actively adopt socially meaningful recruitment activities, such as the Re.step Program, and promote the creation of a workplace where everyone can fully utilize their abilities and work authentically.
