New Space Intelligence Inc. has been selected as an approved company for FY2026 in the "Sendai Deeptech Cluster Project ~Sendai: A Hub for Challenge and Implementation~" operated by Sendai City.

About the Sendai Deeptech Cluster Project

The "Sendai Deeptech Cluster Project" attracts advanced tech startups to Sendai City and supports local verification and social implementation in collaboration with regional research institutions, medical facilities, and enterprises. Focusing on three key domains—Healthcare & Life Sciences, Materials, and Agritech—the project aims to build an advanced industrial cluster originating in Sendai and foster startups that excel globally. By creating local verification opportunities and supporting the establishment of operational bases, it accelerates deeptech implementation.

Planned Verification in Sendai City

New Space Intelligence possesses proprietary technology that integrates and analyzes multi-source satellite data to visualize land use, vegetation status, and environmental changes continuously over wide areas. Through this project, we will observe farmland across Sendai City on a large scale and continuous basis using satellite data, evaluating the effectiveness of our solution against field survey results to verify:

・Identification of idle and abandoned farmland

・Streamlining and optimization of farmland patrol operations

・Potential expansion of satellite data applications in agriculture

Farmland status assessments traditionally rely heavily on manual, on-site patrols, imposing a significant operational burden on local municipalities and stakeholders over large areas. Through this verification, we will demonstrate the feasibility of an efficient, high-impact farmland management system by pairing wide-area satellite monitoring with field surveys. Beyond identifying idle farmland, we will explore new satellite data applications to resolve various regional challenges faced by local governments.

Future Outlook

New Space Intelligence leverages satellite data integration and analytics to continuously visualize broad-area environmental dynamics that were difficult to track manually, contributing directly to solving complex societal issues. Through this verification in Sendai City, we aim to validate the practical utility of satellite data in agriculture, foster sustainable municipal farmland management systems, and drive the social implementation of space technology.
