Cosmic College Opens Doors in Ube City, Supervised by New Space Intelligence CEO Nagai

We are pleased to announce that "Cosmic College," an experiential program for elementary school students supervised by Yumiko Nagai, CEO of New Space Intelligence Co., Ltd., will be held again this year in Ube City.

Cosmic College is a space-themed science education program designed to foster children's interest in science and exploration by letting them experience its joy and wonder.This program is implemented in accordance with JAXA Space Education Center's guidelines to motivate learning about space.

As part of our contribution to Ube City, our company's founding place, we are involved in supervising this event. We hope that children will not only gain knowledge but also experience the joy of discovery through the fun and wonder of science, fostering their dreams for space and the future.

Event Outline

Cosmic College: Experiential Learning Program for Space

Target: Elementary school students in Ube City

Location: Ube City Library 2F Lecture Room (1-33 Kotoshbicho, Ube City)

Fee: Free

Program Details:

• For 1st and 2nd Graders: "Planet Mobile"

  • Date & Time: July 19 (Saturday), 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM

  • Content: Students will create planet mobiles and learn about the size differences between the sun, Earth, and other planets.

  • Capacity: 12 pairs of children and guardians (24 participants)

• For 3rd and 4th Graders: "Balloon Rocket"

  • Date & Time: July 19 (Saturday), 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM

  • Content: Students will build balloon rockets and learn the mechanism that makes rockets fly further.

  • Capacity: 12 pairs of children and guardians (24 participants)

• For 5th and 6th Graders: "Syringe Rocket" (Also includes straw rockets)

  • Date & Time: July 20 (Sunday), 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

  • Content: Students will create rockets using syringes and straws, and learn the mechanism that makes rockets fly further and higher.

  • Capacity: 16 children
