New Space Intelligence, Inc. Signs an MOU with Yamaguchi University

New Space Intelligence, Inc. (NSI) and Yamaguchi University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on November 13, 2025.

Through this agreement, the two parties will advance a new collaborative framework that integrates education, research, and social implementation.

In connection with this partnership, on February 27, 2026, NSI’s President and CEO, Yumiko Nagai, together with Chairman Masahiko Nagai and other representatives, visited Yamaguchi University and paid a courtesy call on the University President. Yamaguchi University will establish a new Faculty of Informatics in April 2026. The faculty will consist of four specialized courses, one of which is the Geo-Intelligence Course, focusing on remote sensing and geospatial information. NSI will support human resource development through initiatives such as accepting interns. In addition, NSI will collaborate with the Yamaguchi University Center for Applied Remote Sensing (YUCARS) to promote the social implementation of research and the development of related business initiatives.

Through this collaboration, NSI and Yamaguchi University aim to build a sustainable cycle in which education, research, and business mutually reinforce one another. Together, they seek to establish a foundation that will serve as a “Japanese use case” in the field of satellite data utilization and to communicate the value of Japan-origin geo-intelligence to the world.
